Preparing for my first Solo Show
I’m 22 days away from my first ever solo show. In my history as an artist I’ve been part of group shows twice. The Academy of Art University Spring Show 2015- juried by professors. I was honored. Previously, a first grade art show in my home town of Miami Beach- The Art Center, which is now a Sketchers.
This opportunity of a solo show was offered to me in March. I was approached as an artist to fill the space for a week with my work- happenstance. Which should have been a sign.
I’m a person that works towards goals. If theres a date set in stone , I will do my best to get what I can together and work my way til the day of.
I wanted a body of work to show the peak of my skills, a personal record. Hopefully be pleased enough with the work to send it off to future juried art fairs in Florida.
Since there were some logistical issues with the location of my first show. I am grateful to my artist collective, Anthony Burks and Erica Kyle for allowing me to showcase in their studio gallery.
If you want to come to the opening and support my work and the artist unveiling of both Erica and Anthony’s new pieces. This gallery show will be
Saturday-August 29th from 7-11pm
The Peach- Studio 2

This is a portrait illustration of my friend and her two boys. Many lessons were learned here on paper and workflow, which helped inform all my pieces there after.
